Elderly Care in San Mateo, CA: Maintaining Healthy Movement

A few well-known principles of physics can be applied to the reasoning behind why our bodies need to get adequate movement. Newton’s Law of Motion basically states that a body in motion tends to stay in motion. Conversely, a body at rest tends to stay at rest. So when those principles are applied to us, it makes sense that we need to be moving our bodies now so that they can still move tomorrow and into our old age. In other words, exercise and regular movements which give us flexibility and muscle strength will continue to be helpful in the future. Even if your aging loved one is at the stage where she needs help from an elderly care provider for daily tasks, there are still...

As a home care provider one of the things you will be doing is fixing meals and helping make sure your elderly adult gets enough calcium in the diet. They kind of disappeared from community life. There was an assumption that they went to these large buildings and lived out their lives there. And perhaps that assumption wasn’t too far off the mark. Today’s image of aging is much different. For one thing, people are living...
